Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) 

The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) is dedicated to assessing, protecting, and commercializing UM-owned Innovations through licensing to startups and established companies. 

The Launch Pad  

The Launch Pad works with students, alumni and faculty to help bring their commercial venture ideas to life. They provide consulting services, mentorship programs, workshops, co-working space, entrepreneurial meet-ups and lecture series.  

The ‘Cane Angel Network 

The ’Cane Angel Network connects early-stage investors with startups that have ties to the University of Miami, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the UM community. By uniting UM-affiliated investors and founders, the network helps transform bold ideas into thriving ventures, strengthening the University’s global impact.
