Incidental Exposures

Tuesday - February 10, 2026 
  • So You Poked Yourself With a Needle…
  • This session will cover exposures from biological and chemical incidents that happened at the University over the past year.  We will discuss the nature of the incidents and how to prevent these undesirable outcomes.

Legacy Chemicals

Wednesday - February 11, 2026
  • Legacy Chemicals and the Hunt for Picric Acid
  • Join us for a practical, eye‑opening session on how legacy chemicals accumulate, who is responsible for managing them, and what our recent campus‑wide assessments uncovered. We will walk through real examples of forgotten materials, common red flags, and the hidden risks they pose to researchers and institutions.
