Research Mentoring Summit

 

 

Join us for the Research Mentoring Summit sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship.

The Research Mentoring Summit inspires mentoring, shares best practices, and fosters cross-disciplinary connections. It connects Coral Gables, Medical, and Marine Campuses. This year's Research Mentoring Summit will take place on Monday, March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Shalala Student Center, Activities Room, Coral Gables campus. Future events will alternate and take place at all three campuses.

The program will include: 

  • Keynote by Dr. Kenzie, A. Cameron, Ph.D., M.P.H., Professor, Medicine, Medical Education, Preventive Medicine & Medical Social Sciences, Senior Director, Mentoring and Leadership Development, Northwestern University
  • Meet and Greet Networking Mixer
  • Research Ethics Sessions
  • Presentations on the institutional mentoring initiatives 
  • An award ceremony for our Research Mentoring Champions

Collaborative Research Mentoring Program

The goal of this program is to advance a university-wide research mentoring and development program that strengthens support for new investigators, accelerates progress toward UM’s mission-based research strategy, addresses key challenges and resource gaps, and delivers actionable strategies that promote sustained research growth and alignment with the University’s research mission.
