Research Misconduct Committee Pool

The Research Misconduct Committee Pool is a standing body consisting of thirty-two tenured members of the faculty who form the Committees that investigate allegations of research misconduct at the University (the “Pool”). There shall be at least six members from each of the three major campuses represented in the Pool with members serving three years with staggered terms of service. The Vice Provost for Research & Scholarship selects members from the Pool to serve on the Committee for each investigation.

Committee members from the Pool create their own working schedule in conjunction with the Research Integrity Officer (RIO)/designees administering the case.

All case documents are confidential and are only to be shared with those who need to know.  However, cases relatred to Public Health System (PHS) funding may be required to be reported to the Office of Research Integrity. Additionally, internal Committee meeting notes are considered work product of the Committee and not part of the case records.
